eins.de is an online community and infotainment portal based in Germany. Established in 2001, limited overload joined in 2004 to initially provide development advice and started a heads down full rewrite of the application code in Ruby on Rails in the summer of 2005, which was launched in November 2005. Since then, eins.de has steadily pushed more than 1.3 million dynamic pages every day, which makes it one of the largest (if not the largest) Rails application deployed in Europe.
