WOOF! MEOW! Well-funded game startup seeks pet-crazy Rails guru!

Pay: Aggressive Salary DOE plus full benefits and stock

Love Ruby on Rails? Love dogs and/or cats? Love the idea of joining a small, stealth-mode start-up creating a high-profile product in a big lucrative market space as employee #7? If so, then read on...

We Got Money

We just closed a 7-figure seed round from some of the Valley's most prominent microcap funds and angels, and are prepped for a much larger VC round late summer '08 with a top-tier VC. We have a team of 5 in place and working for 3 weeks now, but we need to add another Rails dude/dudette asap. You'll be paid a great salary (DOE), have top-notch benefits with health/vision/dental/paid-time-off, and get stock options in what should be a $500M company in 2-3 years.

We Got Fun

Our location kicks serious a** - we're on the Bay waterfront in Redwood City, only 100 feet from the piers and sailboats in the harbor, with lots of grassy playspace. It's beautiful, tranquil and inspiring. The huge loft-style office is pet-friendly, which is important to us since we're developing pet-related games for all ages delivered via the browser. We've also got ping-pong, frisbees, hackysacks, nerf footballs and mandatory recess (outside, weather permitting) with the team and the dogs every afternoon.

You Got Skills?

We'll be hosting with EngineYard, so you won't be burdened with much server admin, but you should be an absolute RoR tour-de-force with several large projects under your belt. Other skills of value to us: design (CSS, UI), DHTML/JS, Flex/ActionScript/Flash, MySQL, Facebook app creation, and db partitioning/sharding experience. We believe in Agile development methods, and use a modified version of eXtreme Programming to move fast and keep communication channels open. Our CEO is a techie and will dive into code right beside you.

Let's Talk!

Shoot us an email to stealthceo at gmail with your resume and links to your work, and let us know what pets (if any) you own. If you look like a good fit, we'll reply and start an email interview process. If you pass that stage you will be required to sign an NDA before coming to the office to learn about our product (sorry about all the secrecy stuff, but once you see our app you'll understand our paranoia). No telecommuting, sorry, and you should be ready to start onsite in Redwood City within 2 weeks (the sooner the better).
