Pay: 80,000

Us: National Event Company is the leader in event ticketing and corporate hospitality in the New York City area. We are a stable and successful company with a great opportunity for a ruby programmer. Our environment is very laid back, easy going, and fun. You'll work on a variety of interesting projects to keep you on your toes and up to date with new technologies. We're also very involved with the open source community. You'll be working with members of our team that were responsible for creating the "logic" gems (authlogic, searchlogic, etc.). We're offering a generous salary with full benefits and great potential for advancement. You: We'd prefer that you live in the NYC area and work in our office. We find that this promotes a positive collaborative environment. If this is not possible, send us your info anyways, we're open to hiring someone remotely. Other than that, we are looking for someone that can write clean ruby code. Someone that understands the language well and practices test driven development. Applying: You'll find that we are laid back easy going company. We like to keep things simple, and our hiring process is no different. All that we require are examples of your work. If you want to send a resume, feel free, but it is not required. We just want to get to know you and see your work. Send us an email to XXXXX, tell us a little bit about yourself. Be sure to point us in the right direction to some of your work (blog, open source projects, etc). We look forward to meeting you.
