Rails work at the home of Working With Rails

Pay: £30-40,000 pa

DSC are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer. We're a small, dynamic company and we've recently taken on some exciting new clients. We need a great Rails developer with in-depth knowledge of the key components of a Rails app, including: Rails V3, MySQL, HTML4, Javascript, CSS2. Experience with things like Photoshop/GIMP, Git, JQuery, Linux, HTML5, CSS3, CMS, etc will be useful too, but not essential. We don't go in for micro management so you'll need to be a highly motivate, well organised worker who knows how to get on with things and knows when to ask for help. No doubt you'll want to contribute your thoughts and experiences on the best way to get things done and you'll have plenty of opportunity to do that. We want someone who is really keen to shine and be appreciated for doing so. You'll get exposure to a wide range of technologies and be involved in a large project right from the start, seeing it through from design to completion. As well as working on client projects, you might get involved with a number of internal projects too, including a revamp of the (once very popular) Working With Rails website that DSC built. The work is based in north west London, England. We've got nice offices with a friendly buzz about them. It's possible that you'll be able to work from home some of the time but you'll be required to be in the office at least two days a week. Hours are flexible. Salary is £30,000-40,000 depending on experience. We will only consider candidates that are currently in the UK and already have the right to work in the UK. Please get in touch with us by emailing railsjob@dsc.net Absolutely no recruiters please.
