Senior Ruby on Rails Gunslinger (err.. Architect/Developer)

ideeli is an exciting, venture-funded community/commerce startup implemented entirely in Ruby on Rails. We believe in small teams, agile development, quick turnaround, and getting things done. Across the entire company you'll find we're exceptionally ambitious and have been so successful that our initial investors have all increased their investment. As a result, we are growing. We are looking to broaden our team with the addition of a senior developer/architect. The ideal candidate would have experience with at least one RoR project and significant previous accomplishments working on highly stylized websites. This is a great role for someone who has some experience with RoR and web development and would like to deepen his/her knowledge and skills base in an exceptional environment. As a startup we have the potential for significant advancement in all areas. Our needs extend to scalability, integrations with mobile phones (WAP, iPhone,etc), IVR, and other non-HTTP environments, advanced UI, and much more. We are seeking a creative, passionate person who enjoys being part of an effective, small team. We are located in Manhattan and can provide a workspace. However, telecommuting works for us as well as the existing team is geographically distributed (three continents and counting).
