What we’re looking for: A Ruby on Rails developer with a great success rate of taking projects from Lead to Launch. Some of the must haves (in order of importance): -Passion for creating innovative web applications -Dedication to internal and client satisfaction -Ability to multitask and self-manage your time to a budget -Strict adherence to cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility -Strong overall web development knowledge and a habit of reading top web industry blogs -Great attention to detail with an ability to successfully QA your own work -Ruby on Rails (intermediate to advanced) -CSS (advanced, table-less layouts – if your portfolio doesn’t feature table-less layouts sites, this job is not for you) -MySQL (intermediate to advanced) -Accessibility & W3C standards (all levels) -AJAX & JavaScript (intermediate to advanced) -PHP (all levels) -RSS (advanced) -Usability and User Experience knowledge (all levels) Bonus points (in order of importance): -Photoshop / web design skills -SEO -SEM -Mobile web compatibility -Client interaction experience (running meetings, delivering status reports, etc.) -Experience leading or managing development teams -Copywriting -XML / XSL / XSLT -Flash -Java -ASP -JSP -Cold Fusion Even more bonus points for breaking down your resume to specifically address your experience in each of the areas addressed above.
