Working With Rails

Having moved over 30 times in as many years, I consider myself to be a native of nowhere but planet Earth, at this point. Although I do feel like I have recently “come home” by moving to Orange County, CA to work for the bad-ass company Oakley.

I had a nice fulfilling relationship with PHP – one that lasted about 4 years – until a 15-minute fling with Rails turned into a full-blown romance that just gets better by the day. We’ve been going steady for close to three years now and I hate to sound cheesy, but, Rails, you had me at hello.

When I’m not building awesome Rails apps, there’s a 65% chance I’m playing guitar, a 30% chance I’m exploring my new home (mountains, beaches, palm trees, sun… God, what’s not to love?), a 4% chance I’m eating/riding BMX/getting tattooed, and a 1% chance I’m watching TV (even though that never happens unless I’ve got my computer in my lap unless I’m watching The Office or Lost). These numbers are simple statistics. In the same sense that 75% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
