Candidate Profile: Do you love TDD and Rails? Do you enjoy creating web apps that are fast, reliable, and a pleasure to use? Do you enjoy contributing to open source? Are you a JSON addict? You can find a home with our agile team working with many cutting-edge technologies. You should be very strong on all of the following: Build functional applications, prototypes, and features on high-traffic websites JavaScript/jQuery, Ruby standard library, database design, HTML+CSS Collaborate with other engineering teams to design and implement consumer features Well versed in agile practices and committed to test-driven development Protocols [HTTP(S), XHR, SMTP, etc) Unix/Linux and shell scripting Git or Mercurial You should be passionate about: User engagement and flow optimisation Security & risk management A/B testing and usability testing Making challenging designs reality Building and executing HTML email campaigns Requirements: 3 or more years experience developing with Ruby on Rails 5 or more years web development experience, preferably using Rails, Python, or Java Experience developing Web 2.0 sites and working with lightweight web services Experience with JSON, Haml, or Sass is a plus Ability to work in a small team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities Excellent oral and written communication skills
