I am also founder and partner of the NYC-based Lovetastic.com, an online personals start-up with an ambitious social mission and an interface that has been widely praised (for example, by TechCrunch). You can read about us in the San Francisco Chronicle, Southern Voice, etc. When I took on an investor and business partner in the company, we began a wholesale rewrite of the site from PHP to Rails, which launched in October 2006.
