Code to Customer, Wellington Plan HQ, Wellington |
Nik is a prize winning contributor to Ruby On Rails, and as a passionate and driven individual, believes strongly you get out what you put in. At just 21, Nik has a solid career in web development, and has already established himself as fast moving forward thinking developer.
Nik joined the Ruby on Rails movement mid 2005 after building a sound base of experience in delivering projects through his own consulting business, Munkywrench. In late 2006, he joined peer-to-peer hiring business HireThings, as part of the first Summer Of Code.
Nik spent 2007 with PlanHQ, and was quickly recognized as a key contributor to their team. He was promoted to Development Manager and spent the summer mentoring two new students as part of the second Summer of Code.
Nik is still a frequent contributor to Ruby On Rails, and has also made small contributions to ActiveMerchant and script.aculo.us. He’s up with all the acronyms: XHTML, CSS, Ruby, PHP, AJAX, Prototype-based JavaScript, jQuery, RSpec, MySQL, et al.
