Working With Rails

I graduated and started working in the South of France, first dealing with network and systems administration in a college, then handling hardware and software installation for 170+ shops across Europe. These experiences gave me many opportunities to work close to the end users and enlarged my view of computing, as I dealt with various aspects of IT.

I left the sunny area of Avignon to settle next to Luxemburg, and now works for Cersi, and acts as a Ruby and Ruby on Rails specialist. I help my client RoR team design better Web applications, by adopting a set of best practices of development.

Aside from this professionnal life, I’m involved in the French speaking Ruby and Rails communities. I’m the President of the French Ruby users association, Ruby France and spoke at various events like Amiens’ RMLL, Lyon’s JDLL and Paris on Rails.

As for 2008, I plan to get back into JAVA development, for a better use of JRuby, and maybe take a closer look at Erlang.

When not working or preparing speaks, I fancy meeting friends, reading sci-fi books, browsing for new and used sport cars, composing electronic music or playing with a camera.
