Web developer with over 10 years experience. Been working in Ruby on Rails for over 4 years, consulting fulltime, and building my own startups on the side. Also very involved in the open source Ruby on Rails community for both plugins and full featured Rails Apps.
Primary focus on the UI side of web application development, with expertise in Javascript (JQuery) and XHTML/CSS implementations.
Also highly experienced with RESTful web application development. Structuring web applications based on resources with standard action conventions significantly reduces complexity, enabling rapid turnaround time to turn ideas into functioning web applications in a fraction of the time it would normally take to define, design, and implement a site.

- Lizi : A virtual assistant. Siri for the open web. Tell Lizi what you want, she’ll take care of it.
- WordSquared : Massively Multiplayer online scrabble.

- DietPicture : Snap a picture of what you eat, and log it in our visual food diary. A better way to track your diet than counting calories.
- Zaarly : Built out Zaarly’s backend tools. Metrics, reports, and moderation tools. Also built out their mobile web interface, and helped a bit on the frontend of things.
- BetterAt : BetterAt is an disruptive online learning application. I rebuilt it from the ground up, using the latest Rails, CoffeeScript, and MongoDB.
- Help Shelf : Online bookshelf to organize your e-books, with full text search.
- Hero Scale : Automatically scale your Heroku dynos and workers.
- Gist : Revamped Gist’s frontend code, and built out their newsreader. Provided integration UI’s for both Outlook and Google Apps.
- SeatZap : Mobile ticket scalping app, with an SMS component. Easily buy or sell tickets to a game. Mapped stadium data to provide a nice grouping of where tickets where available.
- OpenSourceRails : A community driven gallery of Open Source Ruby on Rails web apps. Includes social bookmarking, ratings, comments, and site submission with screenshots, files and links.
- WhiteLabelApps : Fastest way to launch your own web 2.0 application. Apps available include Social Network, Job Board, Classifieds, and Video Sharing.
- LaunchSplash : create a quick and easy launch page for your upcoming web app.
- CourseMappr : An interactive golf course tracking application. Mark which courses you’ve played at, and share with friends.
- AlertMeTV : Pick your favorite TV shows, and set it to give you an alert when the newest episode of your favorite show is online.
- Comicly : Hot or Not for webcomics. Submit a link, and rate which webcomics you like.
- MapKit : Starter kit for building a Google Maps powered mashup.
- PubBud : Map mashup that allows you to find people nearby to have a drink with.
- BlogStem (no longer online) : A social blogging platform. Idea was to create a blog hierarchy where anyone can spawn a new blog off someone else’s, with posts funneling down the chain automatically. They are also funneled up the chain via blog owner moderation.
- SocialGang (no longer online) : Communication tool for small groups to enable easy group interaction, and promotion of articles via social media sites.
- LoginAllow (no longer online) : Service that allows any web application to accept user logins from popular accounts such as Gmail, MSN, Yahoo, and AOL.
Received an honorable mention for a project (PubBud) built in 48 hours for Rails Rumble.
