Working With Rails

Professional software developer since 1986 and always keeping current in the field. I began in the publishing and typesetting world, and did some work in the Financial industry. But the lure of the internet caught me and I have been working on internet services for the last 12 years.

For years, I searched for a web application framework that was easy to use and manage. Rails was what I sought and am happy to be a part of the bright and vibrant community surrounding it. Also, I enjoy working with the back-end processes, where the real meat of a software system lives.

I have programmed, acted as project manager, team manager, DBA, sysadmin, etc. over those years, and have found I am happiest designing and building entire systems.

I am a member of the Philly.rb and NYC.rb organizations.
