Mike has used Ruby on Rails for two of his own ventures
- He is a founder of EasyBrandingTools.com,
which leveraged ruby and rails to get to market faster. This went into production in 2007
- He wrote Literary List, a site to track books that was written in rails. This went into production in 2005.
Mike was one of the founding members of the first Toronto Ruby Users Group that started in 2000. (Not the same group as TRUG which came along later)
