Robert Dempsey has lectured, trained, and provided coaching and consulting to many software developers and small business owners since 2000. As a speaker, he has taught on agile development and Scrum, in addition to Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and JRuby.
Robert is the CEO and founder of Atlantic Dominion Solutions (ADS), a web development company in Orlando, Florida. As CEO, Robert transitioned ADS to Scrum from a traditional, IT style of project management. He is the author of four Ruby on Rails articles for the Amazon Web Services Developer Connection and AOL Developer Network, and a technical reviewer for Manning Publications.
Before devoting 100% of his time to ADS, Robert spent years honing his management skills by working as a consultant and project manager for IT companies. Soon after focusing on ADS, he implemented Scrum, training the development team in its use.
Robert received a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Rollins College, and is pursuing an MBA at the Crummer Graduate School of Business.
Robert is also a member of the Agile Project Leadership Network.
