In September of 2011 I co-founded Codeminer 42 (http://www.codeminer42.com) which rapidly grew to 40 people until March 2012 and we are now the best Ruby consulting firm for startups in Brazil.
I was then the Ruby and Mobile development team leader for beginner consulting firm Gonow between 2010 and 2011.
Between 2008 and 2010 I was employed as Project Manager as Locaweb – the largest web hosting company in Brazil – with one mission: make Ruby and Rails ubiquitous in the Latin America open source communities.
Organized the Translation of the Getting Real book into portuguese (the first complete non-english translation)
Published Rails book: Repensando a Web com Rails (the first RoR book published exclusively for the brazilian audience)
Rails Blog: Akita On Rails (opinionated articles around software development, RoR and Macs). It hosts the most famous, and the first, Rails 2.0 tutorial/screencast available. Also hosts several high profile interviews with well known Railers from the community.
Published the Acts As Replica Rails plugin for bi-directional database replication.

Technically revising the translation of ´Agile Web Development with Rails´ into brazilian portugues.
Organized the translation of the free online version of the book Learn to Program, from Chris Pine.
Organizing Rails Summit Latin America, the largest Rails event ever in Latin America.
