Software engineer (field of expertise: advanced web applications, scripting data workflow). I have extensive knowledge of multiple languages and paradigms. Ruby (2005-), Python (2002-), PHP (1998-), JavaScript (2000-), Scala (2009-)

My favourite programming paradigm is a mix of OOP and FP which allows producing more fault-tolerant applications (eg. Erlang’s OTP, Scala & Akka, Clojure etc.) I am also involved in several open-source projects as active supporter (discussion, raporting bugs, sending patches).

I have experience in training people and had some lectures about modern web programming for goverment and business people in Warsaw. In Aug 2001 I was awarded for PHP based application. In Dec 2008 I wrote a book about modern web programming in Ruby on Rails, and I am writing a second one.
