Working With Rails

I founded a company in 2005 to create towing management software for municipalities and law enforcement agencies. We were one of the first companies to use Rails in an enterprise setting. I headed up the team that performed the development, doing hands on Rails coding for three years. During that period of time, I founded the Houston Ruby on Rails group (houstonrb.com) so that local Rubyists could get together to socialize and help each other over the humps with Ruby and Rails.

I recently left the company to pursue an interest in both Rails consulting and iPhone development. I am available for short and medium term Rails development contracts, as well as general software methodology and project management consulting.

I have over 20 years experience in software development, ranging from low level C communications coding to managing teams of developers.
