I’ve been working on web sites and applications since the mid-90s using a variety of technologies along the way. I’ve been building applications large and small with Rails since autumn 2005. These days I lead a team working in the UK Government building a “Single Domain for Government”.
I’m able to analyse projects from the basics and take a wide view of appropriate solutions across the whole stack. Widely read and often writing, I keep abreast of developments in web technologies and am able to offer experience-based advice on how new tools might be appropriately deployed.
I’m particularly interested in art, politics and social change related projects but if the idea is good and the problem is challenging I’m interested.
