When RoR shattered my PHP-flavored dreams, I fully embraced it in a couple of months. I learned to love Ruby through Prototype framework for which I later became a Core Team member. Today I am working freelance with Rails and Prototype, and teaching others to do so by tutoring and through presentations and workshops. Occasionally I still hack Rails core to contribute as much as I can and am writing (or contributing to) plugins to share with the rest of the great community.
