I’m primarily a front end developer and designer with experience in the Java world, but over the past few years I’ve started to get explore Ruby on Rails and the Ruby programming language more than I had before.

Now that I have a lot more free time, I’ve decided to enhance my understanding of RoR by doing some small applications and projects for myself utilizing the technology. I’m not a programmer in the traditional sense, but someone as a designer that understands the basics of back end development and how it relates to the user experience and layout.

I’m also looking for an opportunity to help others with the design and improvement of the user experience with Rails. Right now I’m adept at handling JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and a whole host of other technologies in addition to being able to handle the intricacies of working within the MVC as front end developer.
