Ruby on Rails developer in Atlanta, been programming professionally for 12 years mostly on the Java stack. Made the switch to Ruby on Rails and I’ve never looked back. Why write 10 lines when you can write 2 or 3. I love the revolution that Ruby and Rails has brought to the programming community and hope it spreads to other languages. In the past I’d avoid searching for libraries and just roll my own, but with all the awesome gems I find that it’s rarely necessary, there are usually great gems out there that are extremely simple to use. Yay productivity and making programming fun again!
