Working With Rails

I’m a full stack rails developer with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. I can build web applications from scratch to finish with an emphasis on usability. I have experience with system administration and I host all my projects on my own servers.

This project was for a new company in the real-estate business. The project was built with rails 2 and mysql. I built the back-end of the application.

I made this project for fun and to get familiar with rails 3 and to learn webdesign. This is the first project I built from scratch. It’s a site that learns which flash games you like and then recommends others you’d like.

A website where you can buy and sell unfinished designs or design elements. This was built in two weeks and uses paypal API’s. I built this because I wanted to learn mongodb and I thought the concept would take off but apparently designers don’t like to share unfinished things. It’s my most beautiful designed site for now.

Front-end built in two days, backend in 5. This website’s complexity is in the back-end with scrapers scraping the major dealsites every 4 hours and matching them to user-queries. This site uses simpleworkers, scrapers, rails 3, mongoDB and rake tasks.
