Working With Rails

Previously

Before freelancing, I worked for COAPS, a research facility at Florida State University (where I received my Masters) funded by NOAA. Primarily, I worked on a project called SAMOS, a very ambitious project to collect data from ships stationed throughout the globe, at land and at sea, in an automated fashion. I was the head engineer on the receiving end of things. This included application design as well as database design.

Then

Since then, I’ve become a freelancer, and have mostly been focusing on sites for local businesses. However, as I use rails more, I become more interested in developing more application-style projects.

Now

I’m currently developing accounting software for Keep Flippin’ Gymnastics, based in Rails. Upon completion, it will be the hive mind of the gymnastics facility itself.
