I found Ruby and Rails when I began working on an ambitious project with a friend of mine. I have been learning Ruby primarily on my own, reading most of the books on the Pragmatic Programmers bookshelf.

I am currently seeking a Ruby/Rails mentor that will challenge me and push me to new heights. I am disciplined, dedicated, and eager to master my craft.

Presently, I work at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as a Network Engineer.

I have many interests: speaking and learning French, Polish, Spanish, and Japanese; traveling around the world; taking photos with my Canon T2i; writing fiction; developing and critiquing stories; riding my bike around Los Angeles; and, speaking publicly at the Water and power Toastmasters club.
