Working With Rails

For the past two years I have been coding in Ruby on Rails with a small team of developers for a Mid-size Pharmaceutical company. I’ve worked for the company for 13 years as a in-house software developer. Our backend database has always been Oracle. Our front end applications have covered the whole spectrum of technologies such as C, C++, VB, VB.Net, Java and Java script just two name a few. Ruby on Rails is just the latest in a long list of technologies we’ve delved into.

I’m an aspiring Ruby developer. I have degree in Engineering and I’m fully capable of absorbing sophisticated technical and conceptual information. I’m looking to work with a team of dedicated developers where I can contribute my software development talents and also further develop my skills as a Ruby programmer. I’ve attended two Rails conferences already and I attended the last one in Baltimore so I could get a handle on upgrading our in-house application to Rails 3.
