Working With Rails

I am a young web/database developer and I am looking for some contracts and freelancing gig here. Before I got interested in RoR development, I did use PHP/MySQL a lot, as well as some ETL tools like Talend Open Studio. I also worked with all sorts of DBMS, namely : SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase.

I’m quite new to RoR, so I don’t have a lot of concrete experience, however, I do have a diploma as a programmer (DEC, meaning Collegial Studies Diploma – err, I really don’t know what is the equivalent in the USA, since there’s not a equivalent in the rest of Canada…) which guarantee I’ve gone through three years of studies in the field. Plus I completed a year of university in computer science, where I did algorithm analysis, C++ and OCaml, to name a few.
