I’m a professional web developer who has been using Ruby on Rails for 4 years in a commercial environment.
I am a UK organiser for RailsCamps.org an unconference style code retreat where developers come, talk, network, present and hack on or about Rails for a whole weekend.
Recently (July 2010) I started up iprug.org in an attempt to kick start a Ruby community in Ipswich to meet like minded developers and share ideas and beer!
I like dabbling with new technologies, recently publishing ittybittyboom.com a multiplayer html5 websocket based bomberman clone. The back end is written in Ruby using the Cramp framework.
On my blog at mrjaba.posterous.com I also publish a weekly Ruby News section scavenged from the news I find on my travels on the web.
My spare time is spent either coding on side projects (my GitHub account is full of them! github.com/MrJaba) or out and about taking pictures of anything and everything (www.flickr.com/photos/mrjaba/).
