I’m a former military officer and electrical engineer turned Ruby & Ruby on Rails developer.

I have a strong grasp of Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework. I’m also a strong advocate of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) – Cucumber, RSpec and related tools are part of every project I work on.

I also have a working knowledge of Javascript, including standard JS, jQuery, and RaphaelJS. I’m comfortable with both front-end and back-end development.

I currently have a couple of personal projects I’m working on, in addition to being a full-time Rails software engineer for a small firm in the DC metro area.

I’m possibly interested in part-time development work, depending on the project. I’m also focused on reaching out to others in the Ruby and Ruby on Rails community.
