ML developer: Was user 1 for a massively parallel ML variant named Manticore, worked on a ray-tracer in Manticore and SML/NJ.

LocaModa, Cambridge, NH. June 2008 – September 2008

Ruby on Rails web developer: Wrote various bits of administrative functionality. In particular, data-wrangled usage stats into user-friendly formats. (eg, downloadable spreadsheets for business people, simple searchable website for techs)

Jango, New York, NY. June 2007 – September 2007

Ruby on Rails web developer: Wrote and optimized various pieces of search functionality for the site in Ruby/SQL. Ported last.fm’s libketama to Ruby by writing a C extension.

CRREL, Hanover, NH June 2004 – August 2006

Python developer: Took disorganized NASA data from several lunar missions circa 1970 and integrated it into a computer-viewable 3-D model in Arc-GIS. (This involved batch image editing using Python.) Assembled and developed code (also in Python) to test the capabilities of a 3-dimensional projection system.
