I’m currently the Project Leader at Assembla. As we create tools for Agile Teams, I have experience with repositories (Git, Svn, HG) & agile methodologies. I like designing new features and discussing with clients, CEOs or marketing people.
I try to help my team to get things done fast and incrementally. But sometimes I’ve just sit down and code things myself.
I’ve started my career working as a programmer at EDS. I had done some small apps for Palm before, but nothing too serious. Then, I moved to other companies like Sybase and Insite until I decided to have my own company. I’ve founded a small start up with three employees and clients in US, UK & Spain, we coded some very good stuff there, but then I decided to take some time to relax and moved to Assembla where I have been working since May 2007.
I have experience in different languages: Ruby, Java, C++, ASP, PHP. And I know the usual stuff that is always needed: DHTML, Javascript, MySQL (I once worked with MDX too, but please don’t make me do that again), etc.
I have some experience with servers (who hasn’t when you run a web product?). I might be able to help you configure your Nginx, Apache, mongrel, mysql, memcache server or whatever. But if you need a system administrator, that’s not what I like doing.
