I have over eight years experience as a software developer ranging from cross-platform server software written in C, to scalable multi-tier ASP.NET web service-, WCF- and WPF-based applications written in C#.

Recently I have been developing web applications in Ruby on Rails, including OffByZero Cobalt (https://cobalt.offbyzero.com/) and OBZTime (http://www.obztime.com/). I have also worked on the Java-based encrypted text editor OBZVault (http://offbyzero.com/obzvault).

I have solid experience in Agile development, and enjoy coaching and mentoring in that field.

I have been responsible for the high-level design of applications ranging from scalable multi-tier solutions to desktop applications. I also have excellent communication skills, and enjoy mentoring junior staff and presenting to both technical and non-technical users.

In every role I have held I have strived not just to produce excellent software, but to improve the processes and practices of the company for which I was working. I keep myself current with industry best practices and new technologies, and tirelessly evangelize those that I approve of.
