Working With Rails

I am 4+ years of experienced in Ruby on Rails. Some of my works include the following:

1. ScrumPad : Developed the application in Ruby on Rails and CMS in highly customized WordPress, and consumed Amazon AWS (S3, EC2, SQS, FPS). ScrumPad is a full-fledged project management tool targeted toward Agile/Scrum followers. It was a large project with many live paying customers in Europe and USA.

Our team members has been involved in this project since 2008, while Nascenia as a company worked and maintained the product (outsourced by Code71 Inc.), since 2010.

2. Mobber: Advertisers and musicians set up “mobs” and offer exclusive rewards (free downloads, coupons, etc.) as incentive for users to join and, in return, users agree to ‘Tweet’ or ‘Status Update’ a short message designated by the advertiser. When the “mob” fills, the advertiser releases all of those aggregated Tweets and Status Updates at once, and the rewards are e-mailed to all participants one hour after the release.

Built on Ruby on Rails 3 and MySQL, leverages Facebook and Twitter API and hosted in Amazon EC2 instance.

3. Daytripfinder offers users to see the list of attractions in UK along with google map. An user can comment, review attractions. Attraction owners can claim and maintain attractions. This application serves the information of more than 8,000 attractions in UK. Build on Ruby on Rails and MySql.

4. bdipo Built on Ruby on Rails. This is a high traffic site made and owned by Nascenia. This is a hub of IPO (Initial Public Offering) for the investors in Bangladeshi market.

How does it help? It helps you by automatically filling up your IPO forms. You just need to give your account detail once. bdipo will generate filled up forms automatically for rest of your life. Hundreds of forms get filled up in seconds.

bdipo also provides result search service of IPO lottery. It keeps the customers updated by latest news of IPO. It also sends IPO alerts through emails in case new IPO is opened or result is published.

Currently it is used by more than 1200 paid users and 35000 non paid users.

5. Almaconnect is a product based on SAAS model for alumni of the universities and colleges. Hence, college students, teacher and alumni can stay connected with each other by building networks, posting and sharing contents and texts (a modified version like facebook.com). Also, it has complex search implementation like odesk.com or linkedin.com. It is built on Ruby on Rails 3, mongo db, elastic search.

6. Khan Academy Bangla is the compilation and companion website for Nascenia Ltd. which is affiliated with Khan Academy. Nascenia Ltd.is translating and dubbing his works in bangla. This site is to provide link and show preview of those youtube video.
