A software developer with 10 years experience working Java (thick clients not J2EE), ASP.Net (C#) and PHP.

I have been working part-time with Ruby on Rails for about 3 years and I am looking to transition more permanently into this domain.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, and a master’s in Computer Science (focus on software documentation). I am completing a PhD (also in Computer Science and focusses on programming languages) by Spring 2010.

I have been an avid Test-Driven Developer (back since the days when they called it Test-First), and I try to automate as much of the process of software development as possible (build scripts, automated tests, continuous integration, site monitoring).
