I am a freelance Ruby on Rails developer who started working with Rails in 2005 on Rails 0.12 and HTML+CSS about eight years before that. Now I like my Rails 3.1 applications with HAML, SCSS, RSpec, Cucumber, Factory Girl, Dupe, jQuery, and other performance-enhancing supplements. I strive for clean code and elegant user interfaces. I’m a BDD and Agile advocate. I also use and commend the Dvorak keyboard layout

I maintain RedCloth — the Textile library for Ruby started by why the lucky stiff — and the RedCloth Textile reference site. RedCloth is an enormously popular RubyGem in the Ruby community.

RedCloth rewrite in Parslet is currently underway. Plans include “round trip” Textile → HTML → Textile and finally switching that gem name to lowercase.

I do freelance Ruby and Rails development on a retainer basis. Get in touch if you need a reliable and reflective Rails developer.
