Working With Rails

I’m a Ruby on Rails developer. I have been working with rails since 2007 professionally. Some of the projects that I have worked on include:

• developing a recruiting platform

innov8on.com

• working on iptv streaming service content system using rails
• developing streaming application for the BD-J platform (bluray/PlayStation) using java (and some jruby)

bizop.pl

• developing the application backend and frontend using RoR and jQuery

zapiso.pl

• rewriting calendar module from Prototype to jQuery, and extending it with features similar to those of Google Calendar
• writing REST API
• adding functionality in RoR

pora.pl – responsibilities:

• porting the site from RoR 1.2.6 to 2.0
• adding Facebook Connect, Facebook App and Google Maps support
• adding functionality, tests and refactoring current code

Other experience includes:

• finishing Stanford’s online Machine Learning class (October – December, 2011)

• alumni of few courses at Ruby Mendicant University Where, from time to time, I help others learn about writing better Ruby code.

Other then Rails and related technologies I have also worked with other technologies, I did 1,5 of professional Java development, and for almost 2 years I have been part of a team developing Microsoft’s MSN mobile portals (ASP.NET/C#)
