Working With Rails

I am new to the Rails world, after many years spent developing embedded systems, control systems, and scientific software (and a tiny bit of web development).

I really enjoy working with Ruby. Applications I have developed with Ruby include simulations of embedded devices, and a program that turns a topographical description of a railroad (track, switches, signals, etc.) into a database used by a supervisory control system for tracking trains (a different kind of RoR, I suppose).
