I’ve worked in software development for over 10 years for many companies large and small. In my last role with JPMorgan I got the Agile bug whilst working with a very talented team.
It was also during this time I began my collection of Pragmatic Programmer books! Taking their advice I have learned a handful of languages outside my core skill of Java. This include Ruby (& rails) and Erlang. It’s interesting to me how much learning Ruby affected my Java code.
I now work for a start-up company named Quolos where I’m finding many new challenges and thoroughly enjoying being back in a small company.
Outside my day job I have tinkered with iPhone applications and will no doubt make use of Rails to implement the server side components for future iPhone apps.
