Working With Rails

I’m a big fan of object oriented programming and domain driven design. That said, I love working with any language with good built in oo support.

That said, i’m obsessed with functional languages at the moment. I spent that last year with erlang, but clojure and haskell are my new favorites.

I’ve been using rails since April 07 and have written cms’s, an email based magazine, web-stores, management-based applications, parsers, scrapers, plugins, gems, you name it.

I’m familiar with svn/git, lighthouse, basecamp, and have deployed many apps with vlad and capistrano.

I prefer good design patterns over meta-programming, however, i understand the need for it and enjoy the style.

I’m big on behavioral driven development as well as behavior. I’ve played with every major testing framework, but I’m an avid Rspec’r.
