I’ve been a programmer for 10 years in the environmental chemistry sector. About a year ago, I began working with Ruby on Rails, and have never regretted it. Our database is run on Oracle (which I am the DBA) and we use PL/SQL with Oracle Forms and Reports 10g. I enjoy using Rails much more than what we were using. Currently, I create any new forms in Rails using the legacy Oracle database when necessary (MySQL is what I use whenever I can). I would be available to work evenings/weekends on freelance work. My current job is a normal Monday-Friday job.
