Kevin W. Gisi is a software developer and open-source advocate from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, whose primary field of expertise surrounds the Ruby programming language. He is also particularly invested in other fields of the web, including advanced JavaScript development, and the emerging HTML5 and CSS3 specifications.
Kevin is an active community member, having served on the board of directors for the Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild, and co-founded the Eau Claire Ruby User Group. In affiliation with ECRuby, Kevin helped organize and promote the first Chippewa Valley Ruby Camp—an all-day immersion event to introduce developers to the Ruby language. Kevin has also spoken on various development topics at regional conferences across the Midwest.
On a broader community scale, Kevin is the co-maintainer of the JSpec testing framework and the lazy_developer Rails plugin, and is one of the organizers of the Rails Rumble event.
