Working With Rails

I discovered Rails after finishing my University degree, since then I’ve been doing server admin and designing a complex Rails application for a web hosting company. This has been a fascinating voyage as the app had to be tightly integrated into a number of existing services using radically different protocols.

My main focus has been on the back end work which due to the nature of the problem has required totally custom code and creative thinking to achieve the goals as securely and simply as possible.

Where time has allowed I’ve also been working on my own personal project which has had an emphasis on using best practices to help push my coding ability further.
