Open source enthusiast, my initial contact with dynamic languages was Perl in 1999. Have been programming professionally using Perl since 2002, having gone through Python and finally into Ruby, which fits like a glove into the agile methodologies I rely on as technical lead of our development team.

I have a strong background into Unix-like operating systems (especially Linux, which I use both at work and at home since 1995), having worked as both sysadmin, systems engineer and software engineer on various Unix flavours (including SunOS/Solaris, HP/UX, IRIX, AIX, FreeBSD/NetBSD).

In my spare time I behave as the average IT geek, playing videogames, listening to a lot of music and skydiving.
