Working With Rails

I’ve been working with Ruby/Rails for about 2 years and have developed 3 full-scale sites in social networking, music industry and online travel. I introduced Rails into my current company where we’re using it for high-volume online travel and social widgets.

Extensive experience in leading the design and engineering of large scale enterprise software systems using a variety of technologies including Java, .NET, Ruby and a full open source stack. Across a variety of markets including Investment Banking, Equity Markets/Trading, Telecom/VOIP, CRM, ERP, Analytics and Travel.

I’m creative, but also very pragmatic, and my primary focus is on delivering working software using AGILE, XP, lightweight frameworks, an ever-evolving design and leveraging engineering best practices such as continuous integration, continuous refactoring and unit testing.

Note: I am available right now to do contracting Rails work. However I am going to be based out of Europe for the next 6 months so any work would need to be done remotely (if you are in the US) with periodic visits onsite. Contact me if interested.
