ZURB is looking for a Web Developer to work with our design strategy team. We’re a close-knit team that helps companies design better web sites, services, and products online. We’ve been around over 10 years and have over 75 startups in our client roster. Our clients range from large, well-known companies that we’ve helped for years (e.g., Photobucket, Zazzle, Playlist.com, the New York Stock Exchange) to brand-new startups just finding their feet (Qik, TinyPic). They all came to us based on our reputation of delivering killer ideas that work. We’re creative thinkers, risk takers and refuse to look at our work as just a job. We like fun projects and constantly push each other to get better at our craft. Need a good reason to join? Here are 17 of them: 1. Food. We stock the cabinets with food. What we're looking for: We're building our own web application that compliments our company's interaction design and strategy focus. Ruby on Rails seems like a good fit for the product and team, but we're flexible in working with another platform if you can argue for how it makes sense. You've got to be a stellar thinker who knows how move from brainstorm to prototype quickly. In a start-up business it all comes down to momentum—how do you release something fast to your customers that works? You have to be comfortable with change and not fall in love with your code. Mistakes are good, rapid iteration is great. You need to be articulate and a good writer so that the whole team 'gets it.' Kinds of things you'll need to know: -Ruby on Rails -MySQL -Subversion We'll help you get into our setup and learn anything you are unfamiliar with. This is a very good environment for a new or experienced Rails programmer. This position is available immediately, pays competitively and is full-time. You'll be working in our offices in downtown Campbell, where we have parking spaces, a Wii and a good attitude.
