Started as a Java developer back in 2005. Did consulting for a year or two. Got tired of that. Took a big corporate job. Got tired of that real quick. Found a job with a start-up in DC, still doing Java. Started playing with Rails. Started to get sick of Java. Found out I was going to be a daddy (again) and could no longer afford DC. Moved to NC and found a senior dev position doing Rails for another start-up. Unfortunately, that same start-up closed its doors about 8 months later. I’ve since gone on to work for Intridea, a product and services company specializing in Rails development. Currently loving Rails, and loving NC.
