I’m a recovering PHP developer with over a decade of web UI and database experience. I have a strong background in scaling open source databases and have run a large MySQL data warehouse and it’s corresponding UI for 8 years. I have extensive experience with PostgreSQL as well and actually prefer it. I came to Rails by way of Ruby and was originally attracted to the elegance of the language. Rails is the perfect example of this elegance and is the ideal work environment. My free time is spent working on a Rails like messaging framework called CommonThread. I have open source and unpublished examples of my work available on request.
