Flooza is a well-funded startup developing the world's first user-customizable fantasy gaming experience. You will be an integral part of a small fast-paced, fun, casual team working with Ruby on Rails. We're currently in an invitation-only beta, with about 10 active leagues and 3 active fantasy games. (We'll get you an invitation to the site after you apply). You'll mostly write ruby (using rails), plus sql on the back and javascript/html/css on the front as necessary. You will help conceive/design/develop/implement/maintain new types of fantasy games and leagues. You will also work on porting our games to mobile and social networking platforms. We don't have a hierarchical team, but as the team grows you will be given an opportunity to be a leader. There are few set-in-stone requirements for this position, but the following skills are coveted: * ruby/rails. Required. * javascript/ajax. We have a data input/output intensive application, so a smooth UI is critical. * MySQL. Some knowledge of MySQL will be very helpful. * Subversion. * XTHML/CSS. So you can implement your ideas yourself. * A B.S. or higher in computer science or other technical field. A lot of great rails experience can overcome this requirement. We're hiring for our Berkeley office, but it is also an option to work in Los Angeles, where we already have a developer. Fantasy sports nerds are strongly encouraged to apply. We offer a very competitive salary, equity, benefits, vacation, and a fun, casual work environment.
