Working With Rails

A solutions architect and Internet entrepreneur with broad experience in many environments, languages and industries; a creative thinker who can often solve complex problems in simple, innovative ways; have a firm grasp on the “big picture”; a good communicator and able to work well with all types of people; a small business owner with experience in startups, contracts, business law and customer relationship management.

I have very strong software development skills with over 20 years of experience. I’m capable working in any area (design, UI, infrastructure, database, sysadmin, planning, contracts, etc) and can build entire web applications on my own if necessary. I’m an expert in Ruby on Rails and Java and am proficient in C++, Perl, PHP and other languages. I have an agile, iterative style of development and a strong drive for elegant solutions.

I am a persuasive communicator with good presentation skills and able to develop productive relationships with colleagues and staff at all levels. I particularly enjoy strategic discussion and planning and am able to help turn a good idea into a successful business.
