Working With Rails

Type: Full-Time (but might consider local consultants for other pieces we need to code)

- Do you like working on a small team?
- Do you want to work below the REST/API layer?
- Do you like to architect systems and develop them?
- Do like to develop using Continuous Deployment?

Responsibilities
================
- Design core, middle-tier components including our REST API Layer
- Code using primarily Ruby, Sinatra, Coffee, HAML, Heroku, GitHub, and TextMate
- Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of our system and underlying processes
- Interface with other teams to incorporate their creations and vice versa
- Conduct design and code reviews. Enforce code quality thru test driven development.

Requirements
============
- M.S. Computer Science or related field preferred
- Extensive experience building large-scale server applications
- Ability to build what you design
- Expert knowledge developing and debugging RoR.
- Experience with Thin, Nginx, RSpec/Cucumber, Ubuntu, Sinatra, Varnish
- Knowledge of Perl or Python or RoR or C++ or Ruby
